A lot of people love dogs and even make them as their best friends. The happines that dogs give to their owners is incomparable and that is a lot of owners run to the veterenarian for help might be health related and other issues such as canine arthritis.

Like humans, dogs also suffer from sickness. One common sickness or disease that a dog suffers especially when entering to old age is the so called canine arthritis. This in fact affects the dog in great pain. Dogs do not have the ability to tell the owner as regard with the pain being suffered by the precious dog. This pain can only be manifested by observing the movements that the dog for the past days. Some of the signs are: moving more slowly than the usual and the inability to climb up stairs. Dogs who have canine arthritis are in deep pain. It is also possible when a dog has a canine arthritis with just a single touch from the owner or any person it will have a corresponding reaction.

Canine arthritis has some similarities to the arthritis being suffered by humans. Canine arthritis means that there is an inflammation with regard to the dog’s joints. Generally, there are two types of canine arthritis namely: inflammatory and degenerative. Degenerative is sometimes called as osteoarthritis. The cartilage that tends to to protect the dog’s joins start to break down. This usually happens due to stress on the dog’s bones over the years. Not like humans. dogs do not have a longer life span. Canine arthritis tend to appear in such an earlier stage to dogs as compared to humans.

Relief for Canine Arthritis

Inflammatory is another kind of canine arthritis is caused by certain types of infection. There are reliefs that can be used to the dog who is suffering from arthritis. Drugs are normally given to dogs in order to relieve the pain that dog is suffering from. These drugs can only be made available right from the veterinarians, and some will be available from the nearest pet store.

Veterinarians often suggest to the owner to have a special diet designed for the dog who suffer a canine arthritis. Foods that will help the dog to control the weight. A little exercise everyday like walking to the park and some running will aid the dog to recover from canine arthritis.

In worst scenario, surgery will be the best option. This can cost much to the owner but if it is the life on the risk then it is worth the try.

A responsible dog owners should be keen enough with regard to the signs of canine arthritis and if it is found at an early stage then chances are it will be remedied and eventually be cured.
